Prepping for Zinnia Fest 2013…..

100_0816

The Happiest Day of the Year is almost upon us: Zinnia Fest 2013!

I spent the morning in the garden, mowing and tilling, and sweating…kinda hot. Paused a few times to sit back in a chair, close my eyes, and enjoy the sounds of birds chirping and insects buzzing.

Thanks to my brother-in-law, Groundhog Hill (the surrounding field) has been nicely mowed, so wear shoes you don’t mind getting either muddy or grassy. Also, the garden is in the middle of a field/meadow, so please drive a vehicle that can easily traverse both. Cars can make it, just go slowly.

Unless of course, it’s raining, then Zinnia Fest is cancelled and we can all sleep in and dream of 2014 when I decided this morning will be three times as large!

My sister Paula is supplying the lemonade. Thanks, Paula!

Also, keep in mind Zinnia Fest is from 8 AM – 10 AM only. After that, the Groundhogs will get cranky!

Look forward to seeing you.
